Tree plantation marks WED celebration by ITBP

ITANAGAR, Jun 10: Along with the rest of world, the ITBP personnel stationed at the newly established ITBP North Eastern Frontier headquarters here celebrated World Environment Day on June 5 last by planting more than five hundred saplings.

Inspector General Manoj Singh led the way by planting a sapling of red sandalwood.

While addressing the jawans, Singh emphasizing the importance of trees said that the main aim of planting the saplings on the occasion of World Environment Day was to preserve the purity of environment which in today’s date has been polluted.

Among others, DIG (Engineering) Ishan Pradeep and DIG (Pers&Admin) Girish Chandra Upadhay were present.
