Bomdila Circuit House opens

BOMDILA, Jun 15: The much awaited lone circuit house of Bomdila, the district headquarters, finally saw light of the day with its formal opening by local legislator Japu Deru and West Kameng Deputy Commissioner Dr Sonal Swaroop today amidst a huge gathering of public and govt officials.

Spread over an area of 1225.61 sq mtrs, the double-storeyed circuit house with 10 rooms was constructed by the Public Works Department, thus materializing the long overdue project which was sanctioned in 2009.

Speaking on the occasion, the MLA congratulated the executing agency and asked for upkeep and regular maintenance of the important govt asset that would cater to accommodation needs of visitors including govt officials. He pledged an amount of Rs 6 lakh from his MLALAD fund for construction of an underground water storage tank.

Earlier, PWD Superintending Engineer Nani Robin briefed the gathering comprising of HoDs and prominent public leaders of the district about details of the project. A tree plantation programme in and around the circuit house complex was also conducted to mark the occasion.
