DBC celebrates Cultural Day cum Food Fest’16

Itanagar, Oct 29: Don Bosco College, Itanagar has celebrated its annual Cultural Day cum Food Fest’16 with the theme “Celebrating God’s Diverse Beauty of Culture as One Humanity”.

Home Minister Kumar Waii and Director of Higher and Technical Education Dr Tejum Padu graced the occasion as chief guest and guest of honour respectively.

Dr Padu asked the students to save culture and to learn to market our culture to the world, while Waii stressed on the need of discipline and quality education of the students.

Earlier, the principal Fr Nicholas apprised the dignitaries about the college and also stressed for the need of UGC grants for all round development of the college.

State Liaison Officer (NSS) Dr V N Sharma, DBC Welfare Committee chairman Nabam P Vishal and other dignitaries also attended the programme. Various cultural items including more than 150 local cuisines were presented by the students.
