IMC ‘set’ for DAY-NULM implementation

itanagar, Jan 6: A kick off programme of skill training under Employment through Skill Training & Placement (EST&P) component of Deendayal Antyodaya Yojana-National Urban Livelihood Mission (DAY-NULM) was organized in the conference hall of Itanagar Municipal Council (IMC) office at Naharlagun today for the FY 2016-17.

The programme was attended by IMC’s Empowered Standing Committee member, DAY-NULM, Gora Talang, Chief Municipal Executive Officer Habung Lampung, Municipal Executive Engineer Tadar Tarang and representative from State Urban Livelihood Mission (SULM), Skill Training Partners (STPs) and beneficiaries.

During the programme, the ESC member (DAY-NULM) Talang formally handed over the list of beneficiaries of various trades to the concerned STPs and asked the beneficiaries to avail the benefit of skill training which will help them for livelihood generation. Er Tarang exhorted the beneficiaries to cooperate with STPs so as to avail the benefits of skill training which will help in enhancing the livelihood of beneficiaries.

CMEO Lampung while addressing the beneficiaries asked them to change their mindset and take up self-employment activities like tailoring, automobile repairing, etc and become successful entrepreneur. He asked training partner to impart professional training with best faculty so that trainees become skilled professionally.

Taking the opportunity, the CMEO apprised the beneficiaries about the Swachh Survekshan-2017 and asked all to take a pledge to keep Itanagar clean so as to make it one of the cleanest cities in the country.
