2-week-long beautician course begins

TEZU, Mar 23: A two-week-long beautician course began here today. Altogether, 35 unemployed women aspiring to earn decent livelihood are undergoing the course, sponsored by State’s Social Justice, Empowerment & Tribal Affairs Department. The Rural Development Heritage Society is conducting the training programme with its coordinator Nobsi Kri and Anjali Gupta being the resource persons.

Meanwhile, the National Youth Project (NYP) conducted a day-long training programme for capacity building of 16 self-help groups (SHGs) members of this district HQs town here today. Dy Director of UD & Housing Laya Nabum, UPO Talen Taki and Assistant UPO R Tai, in their address, highlighted the importance of SHG in development of any society and exhorted the trainees to work as torch bearers of the society. NYP master trainer Suman and community organiser Depak Sha conducted the training.
