APPDSU urges speedy probe into Ngurang Pinch death case

Itanagar, Dec 1: The All Papum Pare District Students’ Union (APPDSU) has demanded for speedy investigation by the SIT to unearth the truth behind the mysterious death of Ngurang Pinch, former MLA of Doimukh and Chairman, Arunachal Pradesh Agriculture Marketing Board, on Nov 18 last.

“There is every reason to believe by victim family under which circumstances late Pinch was found dead. The case should be solved at the earliest by the investigating agency so that no culprit involved roam freely and bereaved family is not denied of justice and harassed in the process of seeking justice,” averred the student union while extending its support and solidarity to bereaved family in their fight for justice.

In the meantime, the APPDSU requested the investigating officer of Itanagar Women Police Station to record the statement of 88 victim students of KGBV, Tani Hapa (New Sagalee) at their school itself without summoning them and their parents at Itanagar. It also suggested the victim students and their parents to lodge FIR against the accused teachers otherwise case might become weak when it comes to the court of law.

Further, APPDSU demanded the State Govt to constitute district wise Vigilance Committee to monitor Govt, private and NGO-run residential schools across the State so that any such untoward incidents are not repeated in future.
