Moyong inaugurates Dibu foot suspension bridge


PASIGHAT, Dec 1: In a formal programme held at Berung village, some 10.8 km from here, Pasighat East MLA cum Parliamentary Secretary for Disaster Management Kaling Moyong today inaugurated the Dibu foot suspension bridge in presence of East Siang DC Tamiyo Tatak, PMC Chief Councillor Kaling Doruk, Dy Director of Health Services Dr Kaling Dai, BJP’s Pasighat Mandal president Obit Tamuk, senior PWD officers including Executive Engineer Tameng Jamoh, PRI leaders and GBs of the village.

Later, the MLA along with the DC addressed a public meeting at the village community hall and interacted with the villagers seeking their full cooperation in taking the village toward more development.

The foot suspension bridge project was funded under SIDF 2016-17 for the convenience of the villagers, helping them to make to and fro to their agricultural fields located on other side of the river.

On villagers’ demand, Moyong agreed to sanction another bridge during next financial year. Two more GBs appointment demand of the village was also virtually agreed by the dignitaries seeing the actual need of the village, which not only administers the village houses but also covers the 7 and 5 Mile areas, making it one of the largest villages.

Chief Councilor Kaling Doruk, Dr Kaling Dai and Obit Tamuk spoke about various activities related to sanitation and cleanliness of the village.
