A bid to create road safety awareness

ITANAGAR, Dec 6: With an aim to create road safety awareness, the ‘Joy7 Foundation’ organized a drawing competition at City Mission School, Dokum Colony here. A total of 170 students participated in the competition. The students were impressively creative and thoughtful in their sketch in promoting key messages about wearing helmets, bike handling, traffic lights, road dividers and crossing the road.

The winners were judged by the resource persons including EE (Trans-Highway) Nani Tath, former AAPSU leader Happy Toko, social activist Toko Obi, Dr Joram Dol, chairperson of City Mission School and Chuna Toko, co-founder of Joy7 Foundation. The resource persons also shared some road safety tips with the young participants. At the end of the programme, prizes were given away to the winners and ‘certificates of participation’ to all the participants.
