Training on Dairy Farm Management concludes

ITANAGAR, Dec 9: The five-day training programme on Dairy Farm Management under National Livestock Mission (Ministry of Agriculture & Farmers Welfare, GoI) and Dairy Entrepreneurs Development Scheme (Deptt of Animal Husbandry and Dairy Development, GoAP) concluded today at Central Cattle Breeding Farm, Nirjuli with 18 trainees from the North East Multipurpose Development Society (NEMDS).

Master trainer Dr Taking Gammi, Senior Veterinary Officer, elaborately trained the trainees about Mission and objective of dairy farm, how to start commercial dairy farming, selection of site, models of buildings, arts of procurement of cattle, importance of breeding, feeding, genetics about calves, heifers, cows and bull. He also demonstrated artificial insemination, demonstrated natural service with cow and bull, practical milking and feeding by trainees to the adult cow and calves etc.
