Demand for banning mobile app game

ITANAGAR, Jan 7: The East Kameng Middle Zone Students’ Union (EKMZSU) has demanded the district administration that a ban be imposed on the mobile app game, Dice, in Seppa township, a virtual gambling application where people place bets to play the game.

In this regard, the Union has on Thursday appealed the East Kameng Deputy Commissioner to look into the matter and immediately ban the game as it has already caused severe losses to the people of the district.

EKMZSU president Yong Rebe informed that the dice game has led to many disputes and enmity among people. “It brings forth domestic violence in once-a-peaceful family, as it involves placing bets. Huge monetary loss in the game is the main reason behind disturbances in families these days. The matter of concern is also that, often, group games are conducted illegally in public places, such as market places, colonies, parking places making the environment look bad,” he added.
