NGO bid to promote Swachh Bharat Mission

ITANAGAR, Jan 8: Ajing United Club (AUC), an Itanagar-based NGO with a view to promote the concept of ‘Swachh Bharat Mission’ today launched a ‘Swachhta’ sticker with the theme “Let us keep Arunachal clean & green” in a simple yet impressive program at Jullang.

The launching of Swachhta sticker was formally done by Parliamentary Secretary for PHED and Economics & Statistics Kumsi Sidisow in presence of its members & other invitees. Earlier, organising chairman of the program Pinku Basar welcomed the guests.

The chief guest in his speech appreciated the efforts by the AUC and assured to extend all possible support in making the ‘Swachhta sticker mission’ a complete success across the state. While encouraging the organizers he also mentioned the achievements made by PHED & present Govt in the line of Swachh Bharat Abhiyan. He also urged the members to be an agent of positive change in building a healthy society.

Chief advisor of AUC Tanya Agu highlighted the activities undertaken by the NGO including reviving of State Level Teacher’s Trophy Soccer Tournament, blood donation camps by its members, etc. He also highlighted the purpose of bringing the idea & motto of Swachhta Sticker by AUC.

Former OSD to CM Dr Hatobin Mai, former NESO secretary general Gumjum Haider and IMWA president Yumlam Achung also spoke on the occasion.
