ABVP conference from Jan 19

ITANAGAR, Jan 10: A State level conference of Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP) will be held at Itanagar from January 19 to 21 next. Hundreds of students from across the State are expected to participate in the conference, which will be attended by Chief Minister Pema Khandu as chief guest along with other dignitaries.

This was informed by organising committee chairman Tana Nikam Tara at a press conference here this afternoon. Sharing the agenda of three-day programme, Tara said that the topics like commercialization of education, corruption, social harmony besides other issues pertaining to the state will be thoroughly discussed by participating educationists and thinkers with students’ community.

A brainstorming session on subjects relating to drugs awareness and how to revamp educational scenario of state will also be held, Tara informed adding that the final draft will be adopted on the last day of conference, where ABVP national joint organising secretary Shriniwas will attend.

General secretary Nyanya Gollo said that the conference is being designed to inculcate sense of true patriotism and nationalism among youngsters. As part of the event, a mega cultural rally will also be organized from Zero Point to Ganga market on January 20 which will be followed by a public meeting at the culminating point where student leaders will deliver speech on current issues, he added.
