3 new temples inaugurated

WAKRO, Jan 11: Altogether, three religious institutions were inaugurated at Wakro on Thursday. While Parliamentary Secretary for Environment and Forests Chow Tewa Mein inaugurated a new Kali Temple, 48 BRTF Commander Col Rajeev Dhingra and community elder Tasaso Yun inaugurated the Hanuman temple and Lord Shiva shrine respectively.

The three new temples were constructed by Srimat Swami Sri Sri Ganeshananda Giri Maharaj at the old temple sites as the old temples which were built four decades ago needed huge repair works. Viewing the pathetic condition of the structures the saint decided to get new temples constructed.

Lauding the services of Swami Ganeshanandaji, Mein said that dharma is great source of peace and love. The lawmaker also assured to contribute to the development of the shrines in Wakro and Parshuram Kund area. To a big round of applause he announced to make financial assistance for the development of the temple premises.

Speaking on the occasion, Col Rajeev Dhingra conveyed that the Border Roads Organization is always keen towards contributing to the development of the area and the nation. The Commander further assured that the 48 BRTF will ensure that road connectivity in the region is improved within 40 days.
