HAWAI, Jan 11: A Campaign on Measles and Rubella vaccination, apparently, got a boost with the visit of Dr Vineet Goyal, WHO Consultant on Immunization, who is on a visit of Anjaw district in the state to monitor status of preparedness and implementation of the MRVC.

During an interaction with Anjaw Deputy Commissioner Mamata Riba here today, Dr Goel appreciated the fact that ANMs and health workers are working very diligently in this difficult sparsely populated belt where some villages have to be traversed through mountainous belts.

The DC, DMO Dr K Perme and team while assuring dedicated efforts for the mission highlighted the ground status.

In accordance with the module of the programme, Principals and headmasters of all schools functioning in the district have been notified as School Nodal Teacher for the MRVC by the DC Anjaw in December 2017 and all stakeholder departments including ICDS, Education and PRIs have been called upon for 100% coverage by the end of IM.
