‘Ojing Taying killing’ case: Demand for nabbing culprits reiterated

RUKSIN, Jan 30: In a conference of the youth wing of the Boriing Olung Welfare Society (BOWS) at Ngorlung under Ruksin sub-division of East Siang district, the members while remembering its clan member and student leader late Ojing Taying, who succumbed to his injuries following a “brutal” attack in the fateful night of 10th June 2017, reiterated their demand for nabbing the culprits, who are allegedly still at large.

Elijah Taying, the president of the society’s youth body while leading the tribute to late clan member claimed that the police had earlier sought some 6-7 months time for nabbing the perpetrators, “whose fatal attacks led to the consequential demise of late Ojing Taying”.

“The Family members and the society (BOWS) are hopeful that the Police would not let us down in our pursuit of justice, especially, since there are witnesses of the incident and also because we have been cooperating with the law establishments in giving them all the time they needed to investigate the matter without any pressure or hindrance,” said Elijah, a lawyer by profession.
