BCCI men’s U-23 one day trophy for NE & Bihar: Arunachal crush Meghalaya by 91 runs

PATNA, Jan 31: Arunachal Pradesh registered their second consecutive win in the ongoing BCCI men’s under-23 one day trophy for NE & Bihar, pounding Meghalaya by 91 runs here at Urja stadium today.

Captain Myendung Singpho after winning the toss decided to bat first and scored 188 in 47.1 overs, losing all their wickets.

For Arunachal, Vikash Mishra, Akash Singh, Kundan Mandal and Hayat Ansari scored 66, 40, 27 and 11 runs respectively.

Lakhan Singh of Meghalaya claimed 5 wickets giving away only 16 runs, while Bijon Dey and Amiangshu Sen took 2 and 1 wicket respectively.

Chasing the target of 189, Meghalaya were all out for 97 runs in 39.2 overs.

Chengkham Sangma scored 30 while Swarjeet Das scored 12.

Sonu Kumar Sharma claimed 5 wickets giving away only 23 runs in his 10 overs, while Myendung and Mikjum Dini took one wicket each.

Arunachal’s next match is against Nagaland on February 1.
