In his message, the Governor said that celebrated with the mood of rejoicing and gaiety, Ali-Aye-Ligang and Donggin festivals mark the beginning of the new agro-horticultural season. The rituals and the festivity associated with these festivals inspire all to sow and cultivate with zeal and fest. Theses festivals preserve the age-old customs and traditions, he added.

“I trust that these festivals coming down from ages and handed down from generation to generation will continue to propagate the rich emotional, cultural and social traditions of the Mishing and Adi Communities,” he further added.

May these festivities herald happiness, prosperity, bumper harvest and good sense of fraternity for all, the Governor wished.
