CRPF provides furniture, uniform to school children under CAP

KHONSA, Feb 5: The 36th Bn of CRPF stationed at Khonsa today conducted a civic action programme at Bera village, 28 km from the district HQs, and donated school uniforms and school bags to all the children the Bera Middle School. The CRPF also provided 10 pairs of new benches and desks in addition to repairing and painting of all existing old and broken furniture of the school under its Civic Action Programme (CAP) 2018 under the leadership of Commandant S R Behura.

The occasion was presided over by Tirap ADC Techu Aran. District SP Jitendra Meena, who was also present, praised the 36th Bn CRPF for showing their generosity in providing basic amenities to the children and the school.

Highlighting the aims and objectives of CAP, the Commandant said that through this Civic Action Programme the force is trying to come closer with the local population so that peace, harmony and brotherhood can be further strengthened in the region.
