Jamoh laid to rest

ITANAGAR, Feb 8: The mortal remains of former State BJP president and a prominent Adi community leader Kangir Jamoh were laid to rest at his Chimpu (Itanagar) residence today.

He breathed his last in a Guwahati hospital on Tuesday evening after a prolonged illness.

Hundreds of people from all walks of life and communities came out to pay their last respects to their beloved leader and friend.

Power (Electrical) Minister Tamiyo Taga, Arunachal East MP Ninong Ering, MLAs Tatung Jamoh & Kaling Moyong, BJP functionaries led by State president Tapir Gao, Arunachal Indigenous Tribes’ Forum chairman Bengia Tolum, leaders from other community-based organizations, members of the Adi community, relatives and friends attended the funeral.

The members paid floral tributes to the departed leader and observed a one-minute silence as a mark of respect to the departed soul. They also prayed for eternal peace of his departed soul before the mortal remains were put to rest finally.
