SIRD conducts 2-day training-cum-workshop on good governance & universalisation of e-FMS

ITANAGAR, Feb 13: A two-day State level training-cum-workshop on good governance and universalisation of e-FMS for effective administration and implementation of MGNREGA in the State has got underway at SIRD conference hall here today with Secretary (RD & PR) Rinchin Tashi inaugurating it.

Besides interacting with the participants comprising of BDOs and EO (RE) of nine districts of Arunachal Pradesh viz. Tawang, West Kameng, East Kameng, Papum Pare, Lower Subansiri, Upper Subansiri, Kra Daadi, Kurung Kumey and Anjaw, the Secretary, in his inaugural speech, requested the participating BDOs who are holding multiple responsibility for successful implementation of various rural development programs, specially MGNREGA, PMAY etc.

He further asserted that the functionaries at district and block level need to follow the guidelines, directions issued by MoRD, GoI and State Govt from time to time to keep away from any controversies, court cases etc in implementation of MGNREGA.

Speaking on good governance, he welcomed the ‘indicative frameworks’ issued by the MoRD and directed the BDOs to get trained during the workshop and become vibrant in administration and effective implementation in the line of good governance which is a refined and consolidated one.

Director (RD) Komkar Dulom while interacting with the participants stressed that they should know their roles leaving behind personal problems, saying one should prioritize the Govt-assigned duties. He further stressed that the non performance at few blocks in some cases was due to negligence of officers. So in order to streamline, Govt of Arunachal Pradesh will not wait or hesitate to streamline by reshuffling the posting places of program officer for better implementation of MGNREGA works in State, the Director added.

Earlier, Programme Officer, MGNREGA, Sanjiv Das welcomed the participants, while AD (SIRD) cum Course Director S W Bagang highlighted the objectives of the training-cum-workshop conducted by SIRD and Dept of Rural Development, GoAP. Director (SIRD) B J Duia also spoke on the occasion.
