A skit on “the role of citizen in keeping the locality clean” was also performed by the trainees of Hunar Se Rojgar Tak initiative – Tami Yarang, Sumi Khan, Mepi Riang, Priyanka Kumari, Puja Dujom and Rido Sona.

The local residents and shopkeepers also took Swachhta pledge and decided to make Potin ‘no plastic zone’ within 10 days.

The cleanliness drive also saw participation of four foreign tourists, who were on the way, and appreciated the initiative. The department also donated dustbins to the shop owners.

Potin is a perfect small town located at the junction connecting many districts of the state to the outside world. Not only tourists from outside the state but even residents of the Capital Complex enjoy going there with family and friends for a day trip. Due to recent increase in incoming visitors, many restaurants/dhabas have been set up, leading to increase in garbage accumulation in the area.
