Police recovers stolen bikes

ITANAGAR, Mar 5: In a major breakthrough, the City Police while working on a theft case registered at the Itanagar PS has arrested one person and recovered near one-and-a-half dozen stolen motorbikes from different locations, apparently cracking several theft cases in the twin capital cities of Itanagar and Naharlagun.

The recoveries included Royal Enfield and Yamaha FZ bikes (two apiece), Pulsar (one), Avenger (one), and scooty – five nos from various locations of Itanagar, one from Banderdewa, two from Ziro and one from Tezpur (Assam). Two more motorcycles were recovered at Seppa PS which are yet to be brought back.

In this connection, one accused person has been arrested so far who sold out the stolen motorcycles to various customers. Police are on the toes to arrest the other culprits who are absconding now and were involved in various bike lifting cases in Capital Complex, informed Itanagar SDPO K Sikom, who along with Itanagar PS OC T Bage, SIs L Kamcham & N Nishant, ASI A K Jha, Const Kojum Mosi and others under the supervision of SP Capital Sagar Singh Kalsi made the recoveries on the basis of leads given by the arrested person.
