DLSA hosts 2nd legal services camp

ROING, Mar 8: The second legal services camp as per new module of National Legal Services Authority (NALSA) was organized at Poblung Musup, Dambuk in Lower Dibang Valley district today by District Legal Services Authority (DLSA), Roing in collaboration with District Administration, Roing Bar Association and 18 departments of GoAP.

Atul Tayeng, Additional Deputy Commissioner, Dambuk appreciated the DLSA for conducting such camp, which he said is relevant and the need of hour for people of Dambuk circle.

He also exhorted the participants to take optimum advantage of such beneficial programme.

Tage Halley, OM-cum-Member Secretary, DLSA, Roing explained the objective of organizing the camp. He said that the purpose of organizing such camp is to connect the poor, needy and ignorant members of society in particular with the beneficial legislations and welfare schemes of various departments of both central and state governments by rendering all necessary awareness and services for materialization of the benefits/fruits of the welfare schemes.

He also informed the participants about various programmes, conducted by the DLSA, Roing.

Attending as resource person, Bulia Pulu, advocate cum legal aid counsel elaborated on women’s rights with special reference to protection of women from domestic violence.

As many as 232 beneficiaries of govt schemes were shown demonstrations on fire safety measures.
