Centre pleaded to set up CAPFs recruitment centre in Arunachal

CHARDUAR (Balipara), Apr 1: Arunachal Pradesh Parliamentary Secretary for PHE & Water Supply, Economics & Statistics Kumsi Sidisow today appealed the Central Govt for setting up of recruitment centre for all central paramilitary forces (Central Armed Police Forces or CAPFs) in the Himalayan state.

Sidisow, who was addressing the Golden Jubilee celebration of CRPF’s 30th Battalion here at the battalion headquarters, said that Arunachal needs separate recruitment centers for all CAPFs in order to benefit the indigenous educated unemployed youths as he felt Arunachal Pradesh being a sensitive border state requires such facility from the Centre.

The chief guest said that all the CAPFs need to have their recruitment centre in the State so that the youths of Arunachal and adjoining areas are benefitted and do not need to travel outside the state.

He also appealed Chief Minister Pema Khandu to pursue the need of the youths of the state for having a separate recruitment centre with Union Minister of State for Home Kiren Rijiju, who is also the Member of Parliament from Arunachal and can better understand the need of the same.

Sidisow lauded the role of CRPF in helping maintain security and lots of other activities including those for the cause of society.

On the occasion, the Parl Secy inaugurated a mela and exhibition stalls, put up by SHGs and wives of security personnel, and medical camp besides making a round of weapon demonstration.

A variety of sports contests, followed by cultural night marked the occasion. Later, Sidisow distributed prizes of the winners of several sports contests.

30 Bn Commandant Janardan Uppadhyay, in his address, appealed the personnel and general public to have a better understanding among them and also called upon the CRPF men to come up with renewed zeal for the security of mother land.
