Pre-recruitment training commences

TEZU, Apr 9: In view of the Army recruitment rally scheduled to be held at Jairampur from May 10 to 13 next, a pre-recruitment training for the youths of Lohit and Anjaw districts started at the premises of Indira Gandhi Govt College (IGGC), Tezu on Monday.

The inaugural programme was attended by Colonel Vikram Singh Nalawade, Commanding Officer of 20th Madras Regiment, Chongkham as chief guest and SDO (Tezu) Kajal Karmakar as guest of honour.

The 20th Madras Regiment, Chongkham in collaboration with the District Administrations of Lohit and Anjaw is conducting the pre-recruitment rally, which will continue till April 25, to facilitate the local unemployed youths to qualify in the much publicized Army recruitment rally.

So far, 68 candidates have enrolled till date; the figure is likely to increase in coming days. Necessary physical trainings (running, long jump, high jump, etc) and theory classes for written examination will be provided free of cost. Trainers and resource persons will be from 20th Madras Regiment. Candidates will be provided with mess, accommodation, training infrastructure, etc. (DIPRO)
