Guv takes stock of East Siang dev works

PASIGHAT, Apr 10: Paying a visit to the district, State Governor Brig (Retd) Dr B D Mishra today held a meeting with the East Siang Deputy Commissioner Tamiyo Tatak and district Superintendent of Police Prashant Gautam to take stock of the developmental works and prevailing law and order in the district.

The Governor called for proper implementation of development plans and projects and advised all concerned to ensure transparency, accountability and continuity while implementing the projects.

He directed the DC to take special initiatives to ensure that fruits of all Govt schemes reach the lowest strata of the society. While holding discussion with the Superintendent of Police to have an insight of the district’s law and order, the Governor stressed on proper measures to ensure safety and security for all.

Earlier, the DC and the SP briefed the Governor about the status of all Govt sponsored programmes in the district. The DC apprised the Governor in detail about the development works being undertaken in the district and said that the district administration has been on its toes to extend the fruits of governance to all sections of the people of the district.

Mariyang-Geku MLA Olom Panyang and retired IAF group captain Mohonto Panging were also present at the meeting. Panging presented a brief report on ongoing Army’s pre recruitment training organized at Pasighat. (DIPRO)
