PPA celebrates 41st foundation day

NAHARLAGUN, Apr 10: The People’s Party of Arunachal (PPA) today celebrated its 41st foundation day in a befitting manner.

Unfurling the party flag at its headquarters at Papu Nallah here, PPA chairman Kamen Ringu said that the regional outfit will keep equal distance from ruling BJP and Congress. Pointing that the party gives importance to the youths, he indicated that PPA will give preference to the youths to fight the next assembly election on party tickets.

PPA president Kahfa Bengia said that PPA is only the alternate to the BJP and the Congress for the sake of the State and that all like-minded people should come and join the regional party.

Former MLA Dugi Tajik, general secretary Taju Tarang, Tame Papuk among others also addressed the gathering.

Several programmes including group discussion among different district units and former leaders of the party on several issues, documentary on renaissance of PPA, etc marked the day at the party chairman’s residence at G-Extension here.

Earlier in the morning, the PPA leaders paid floral tributes to the portraits of former leaders of the party.
