‘Bharatiya Nava Varsho Utsav’ celebrated

ITANAGAR, Apr 16: Sanskar Bharati Arunachal Pradesh (SBAP) in collaboration with Donyi Mumsi Foundation organised a folk cultural evening, ‘Bharatiya Nava Varsho Utsav’, to mark the Indian New Year at Donyi Mumsi Foundation School here on Sunday (April 15). The main slogan of the celebration was ‘Hamari Sanskriti Hamari Pehchan’.

The objective of the programme was to enlighten the people about Indian New Year and spreading the message of universal brotherhood, social harmony and cultural integration among the common people while sharing the happiness of celebration together.

While speaking on the occasion as special guest, T Amenla Jamir, social activist from Nagaland, expressed her happiness on being a part of this occasion to see the whole Indian culture together. She also appreciated the organiser for this novel initiative to preserve and promote rich cultural heritage of country.

The main attractions of the programme were melodious songs and beautiful dances presented by the members of Sanskar Bharati and other invited artistes from different communities.

Earlier, SBAP organising secretary Mirnia Game gave the welcome address, while its general secretary Sukhdev Biswas highlighted the aims and objective of the programme and importance of the day.
