PTC holds tourism workshop for police personnel

ITANAGAR, Apr 17: A workshop on tourism for the police personnel was organized at PTC, Banderdewa yesterday by the Dept of Tourism, GoAP.

The team was led by Bengia Manna Sonam (AD, Tourism) and consisted of Raj Basu (Convener, Association of Conservation and Tourism), R K Mishra, senior lecturer, Rajiv Gandhi Govt Polytechnic and TIO Duyir Yedi.

Around 120 police personnel from all over the state, who are undergoing 45 days refresher course attended the sensitization workshop.

Dy SP, PTC welcomed the team and appreciated the Dept of Tourism for conducting the training and highlighted the increasing importance of the relation between the police and the tourism. He also informed that session on the tourism subject has been made compulsory for police personnel trainings that are being conducted at PTC.

The participants were informed about the basics of tourism, Arunachal Tourism, Permits (ILP/PAP), role and importance of tourist police. They were also shown videos on tourism and interactive session held.
