5th APU Annual Day function held

PASIGHAT, May 16: Apex Professional University (APU), Pasighat has observed its 5th Annual Day at the premises of Pasighat Tourist Lodge on Monday last with great enthusiasm. Students of the private university presented enthralling performances at the function, which commenced with welcome speech by the Chancellor, Acharya Dhanwant Singh.

Gracing the occasion as chief guest, East Siang DC Tamiyo Tatak, in his address to the gathering, said that education plays a great role in one’s life and getting proper education is very necessary to get success in life.

He urged the students to refrain from the race of mere academic excellence and asked them to focus on different values and life skills which would prepare them for progressive life.

Education develops personality and improves physical standard and transforms people’s living status, he asserted adding that it promotes the feeling of mental and social wellbeing by providing better life. The DC stressed for starting of job-oriented courses and exhorted APU to introduce campuses in other parts of Arunachal Pradesh to cater the local community.

The guest of honour, SP Prashant Gautam also spoke and felicitated the achievers on the occasion. He opined that such celebrations provide the students a larger platform to interact with their peers. Sports and arts act as a great bridge between different cultural outlooks, stated Gautam.

Chancellor Dhanwant Singh expressed happiness over the progress and achieving Gurukul tradition and modern teaching methodology of Bloom’s Taxonomy. He appreciated the learning environment of the university and expressed hope that it would go a long way in making Pasighat an educational hub.

Vice Chancellor Prof (Dr) J N Das presented the five years growth report of the university and shared his views on developmental issues. Registrar V S Moray also spoke. Among others, Flight Lieutenant Neha Chaudhary of ALG, Pasighat and ADC Tatdo Borang were also present on the occasion. (DIPRO)
