APVA conference discusses issues facing AHV&DD dept

ITANAGAR, May 21: More than 170 veterinarians from all over the State attended the 10th general conference of Arunachal Pradesh Veterinary Association (APVA) held at Naharlagun on Sunday and took part in the deliberation pertaining to various issues related to APVA and department.

The some of the imperative issues raised in the conference were regarding bifurcation of present Directorate of Animal Husbandry, Veterinary and Dairy Development into two directorates, re-designation of present DAH&VO, Deputy Director and its equivalent post, reversion of Veterinary Officers posted in RD department to parent department, non practice allowances and retirement age of veterinary doctors, early conduct of departmental promotional committee (DPC), creation of veterinary officers post, framing of service and recruitment rules in the department, etc and resolutions to this effect were adopted for further persuasion to Govt level.

Director, AHV & DD, Dr N D Minto, in his speech, urged the departmental officers to work with sincerity and dedication in their respective field to augment the growth and productivity in livestock sector and to fulfill the recommendation put forwarded by the expert committee during the just concluded two-day State Conclave on Perspective Planning for Resurgent Agriculture & Allied Sectors in Arunachal Pradesh.
