DRDASWA reiterates demands

demanded the state govt for immediate placing of Committee report and subsequent approval of the same in the next Cabinet meeting in June next.

DRDA employees of the state under the banner of All India DRDA Staff Welfare Association were on agitation mode for the last couple of years against the govt’s alleged failure to fulfill their demands which include immediate absorption of DRDA staff into govt department permanently and regular disbursement of DRDA staff salary through Treasury bill.

The Association had suspended its agitation in July last year after the state govt constituted a Committee to resolve the grievances of DRDA staff.

In a representation addressed separately to the Chief Minister, Minister Rural Development and Chief Secretary respectively, the Association reiterated its demands and called for immediate placing of Committee report and subsequent approval of the same in the next Cabinet meeting.

Meanwhile, the Association threatened to resume its agitation if the govt fails to fulfill the demands at the earliest.
