ITANAGAR, Jun 4: Expressing its dissatisfaction over the State Govt’s alleged failure to fulfill its demand, the All Nyishi Students’ Union (ANSU) on Monday threatened to launch a 12 hours Capital Complex bandh call. It, however, did not disclose the date of the bandh.

The students’ union had last year demanded posting of regular principals, headmasters, subject teachers, etc in all the Nyishi inhabited areas.

Addressing a press conference here at Arunachal Press Club, ANSU general secretary Tukbom Ligu informed that the Education Minister had convened a meeting in October last year wherein it was assured that the matter would be taken up.

Holding the State Govt “responsible” for the poor performance of the students in the recently announced CBSE exams results especially in Nyishi inhabited areas, Ligu said that had the State Govt addressed its demands as assured, the results would have been much better.

“Due to the failure of the State Government to address the demands that the Nyishi belt suffered poor CBSE results this year,” he claimed, adding that “the Govt is testing their patience”. He added that they have not fixed the date for the bandh yet keeping in view the various ensuing examinations.
