Post an experienced IAS officer as DC L/Subansiri, demands AYA

ITANAGAR, Jun 4: While claiming that Trans-Arunachal Highway (TAH) project is in “almost complete halt” in part of Lower Subansiri district due to alleged inefficiency of Deputy Commissioner and his team which is exemplified by the recent turn of events pertaining to compensation issues, the Apatani Youth Association (AYA), in a representation to the Chief Minister, today demanded for posting of an “experienced and impartial” IAS officer so that the “dream” project is expedited on war footing.

Further noting that “Deputy Commissioner is the district vigilance officer with very important role to play in checking corruption in the district”, the youth body said, “An experienced IAS officer with impeccable records should be posted at this point of time, when there is so much of allegation in respect of disbursement of compensation pertaining to TAH project.”

The AYA, at the same time, served a 15 days’ ultimatum to the Govt to meet its demand failing which it will launch a democratic movement to get its demand fulfilled.
