Health cum awareness camp conducted

ITANAGAR, Jun 6: The Arunachal Pradesh Building and Other Construction Workers Welfare Board has recently conducted a series of health cum awareness camp at various interior places of Longding, Anjaw and East Siang districts to provide basic healthcare services to the workers of the unorganized sector.

During the camp, the Board officers from respective districts also requested the workers to get themselves registered under the APB&OCWWB to avail all its benefits like housing loan of Rs 100,000, tool loan – Rs 15000, maternity benefit – Rs 1000, marriage assistance – Rs 10,000, educational benefit – Rs 15000 (minimum) to Rs 50,000 (maximum), normal death benefit – Rs 50,000, accidental death benefit – Rs 100,000, funeral benefits – Rs 1000, Chief Minister’s Relief Fund for registered workers in case of medical emergency (specially for referral case only) from 1% cess of APB&OCWWB, disability pension – Rs 1000 per month, old age pension – Rs 500 per month after age of 60 years or after retirement from service, free insurance like PMMJBY and PMSBY, the premium of which will be borne by Board from 1% cess under statutory benefit.

More than 1600 workers from unorganized sector besides common public were benefited by the health camp which was earlier inaugurated by the chief of Waka village at Longding, in presence of officers from local administration and Panchayat leaders.
