ITWs undergoing training at PTC

ITANAGAR, Jun 9: The Itanagar Traffic Wardens (ITWs), presently under the control of the Capital District Deputy Commissioner, are undergoing a week-long ‘traffic management module’ training programme at the Police Training Centre (PTC), Banderdewa batch-wise.

Capital SP Sagar Singh Kalsi said that the training programme has been initiated as per the direction of the Director General of Police to make the ITWs perfect and more acquainted with the traffic management and rules of law. He said the programme was started with a batch of 20 ITWs so that the traffic on the road is not disturbed, adding that there will be a total of 10 batches.

He added, these ITWs will be given training for six days pertaining to physical exercise, maintaining of physical fitness, PT drill, outdoor and indoor works relating to traffic management and MV rules while on the 7th day there will be a test. The training is being imparted under the supervision of PTC Principal Surender Choudhary and DySP (Training) Dusu Kaling.
