FLAP held at Koronu village

ROING, Jun 29: A day-long Financial Literacy and Awareness Programme (FLAP) was organized by Arunachal Pradesh Rural Bank (APRB), Roing Branch at Koronu village in Lower Dibang Valley district on Friday. Around 50 participants comprising mainly farmers and SHGs members were present in the programme.

APRB Roing Branch Manager P B Chetry explained the gathering about the different types of accounts that can be maintained in a bank. He also explained in detail the several benefits that can be availed by a customer having a bank account. He also spoke on social security schemes viz. PMJDY, PMSBY, PMJJBY, APY.

District Development Manager, NABARD, Nitya Mili informed the gathering about Financial Inclusion and Financial Planning. He also briefed the participants about the CM’s flagship schemes viz. CMKRY, DDUBY & DDUSY and GoI schemes viz. Mudra Yojana, SUI, DEDS & NLM. He elaborated in detail the procedures involved for application under DEDS & NLM schemes and urged all the participants to avail the benefits in respect of diary, poultry, piggery and goatary schemes.

Koronu CO Olom Panggeng and ADO Y Kamdak were also present. A total of 15 PMJDY accounts were opened during the programme. Few RuPay debit cards were also handed over to the customers by APRB on the occasion.
