Ering meets Home Min, pleads for CBI inquiry into Ojing Taying murder case

ITANAGAR, Jul 3: Lok Sabha MP from Arunachal East constituency Ninong Ering on Tuesday called on Union Home Minister Rajnath Singh and requested for a CBI inquiry into the late Ojing Taying murder case. During the meeting, the MP also inquired about Naga peace accord from him and requested to make the details public, as the accord also concerns the people from Arunachal Pradesh.

Taying, the former finance secretary of All East Siang District Students’ Union, was assaulted by some unidentified persons at Itanagar on June 10 last year and succumbed to his injuries four days later at a Guwahati based hospital.

The Ojing Taying murder case still remained a mystery as the State Police and Govt-constituted SIT were yet to make any headway till date and clueless about the perpetrators.
