WCD dept takes stock of its activities

ITANAGAR, Jul 5: The department of Women & Child Development (WCD) conducted a State level review meeting on its schemes and programmes at Golden Jubilee Banquet Hall here today.

Presiding over the meeting, Women & Child Development Minister Nabam Rebia advised the Officers to work hard for providing govt services to the needy people in the society. He also called for shouldering responsibility to implement very important flagship programmes and also to live upto the expectations of the people.

In spite of facing constraints, Rebia asked the officers to maintain the spirit to work in transparent manner with accountability, and motivated the officers to generate awareness among the masses about the WCD schemes and programmes and educate them to avail the benefits of the same.

He viewed that “we have to maintain the spirit of Team Arunachal” to take forward the State in its development agenda.

Commissioner WCD Gamli Padu stressed that periodical review of the schemes and programmes with all departmental officers is very important for effective implementation of the same.

Besides giving an insight into the status of the performance, it also gives an opportunity to district officers to interact and learn from one another, he opined.

Special Secretary WCD Dr Kinny Singh advocated for prompt and timely implementation of Prime Minister’s flagship programmes, other Centrally Sponsored Schemes and State Schemes.

Director WCD gave a brief on the programmes and schemes being implemented by the department, said an official release.
