SUMAA takes out rally protesting TRP-2014

Itanagar, Jul 13: The Students’ United Movement of All Arunachal (SUMAA) along with its federal unit of West Kameng district today took out a protest rally at Bomdila against Tibetan Rehabilitation Policy, 2014 (TRP-2014) and alleged illegal settlement of Tibetans in the district.

Team SUMAA led by its president Tagru Tame, general secretary Suraj Ligu and vice president cum Issue chairman Kaling Moyong took out the rally along with spot checking of the shops and permanent structures.

After the end of the rally that lasted for about three hours covering the entire Bomdila town, Team SUMAA submitted its ground findings list to the Deputy Commissioner and urged her for initiating immediate action like cancellation of ST certificate, PRC and trading licences issued to the Tibetans within a period of three days, failing which it threatened to intensify its movement against the authorities concerned.
