MoU inked for giving coaching to APST civil services aspirants

ITANAGAR, Aug 9: The Govt of Arunachal Pradesh has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with ALS New Delhi and Helping Hands (an NGO, headed by Robin Hibu, Joint Commissioner of Police, Rashtrapati Bhavan Secretariat) to sponsor initially for 30 APST aspirants for undergoing coaching for the civil services examinations conducted by the UPSC.

Director of Higher & Technical Education Dr Tayek Talom, National Sales Head (ALS) Prateek Bhattacharya and Helping Hands core member Habung Lampung signed the tripartite MoU in the presence of Education Minister Honchun Ngandam at his office chamber here.

Selection of aspirants would be made by ALS, New Delhi through open advertisements followed by test with the help of Helping Hands. The selected aspirants shall be sponsored by the State Govt for a period of one year to undergo rigorous coaching which shall be provided by ALS.

While witnessing the signing of the MoU, the Education Minister said that the scheme of sponsoring of the APST candidates for undergoing UPSC coaching was made in the Budget 2018-19. He also desired that the aspirants should avail the opportunity to qualify for the central services like IAS, IPS, IFS, etc and thereby make the State proud.

The function was also attended by officers of the Directorate of Higher & Technical Education and representatives of ALS, New Delhi amongst others.
