Solung Football: Banggo UFC thump Gumin BFC 8-0

ITANAGAR, Aug 9: Gumin Botte FC players could not stop the Banggo United FC’s lethal attack as they conceded mammoth eight goals and failed to even come up with a consolation goal in the ongoing Itanagar Solung Football Tournament played at the AAPBn ground, Chimpu near here on Thursday.

Banggo United FC entirely dominated the game from the beginning and first goal came from Galat Jiji in just two minutes of play giving his team a 1-0 lead. Akar Hanggo added the second goal in eight minutes. After that Galat Jiji scored three consecutive goals in 25, 30 and 52 minutes, thereby taking the lead to 5-0.

Toni Saroh and Kobit Taki did more damage to Gumin Botte FC by adding two more goals in 57 and 63 minutes making the score line 7-0. Akar Hanggo scored his second goal in 67 minutes to crush the Gumin Botte FC 8-0. Galat Jiji was adjudged as player of the match.

Earlier in the first match, Naharlagun Solung FC blanked Todi Yaming FC 3-0. The much anticipated match got off to a very positive start with both teams exhibiting excellent play. However, Naharlagun Solung FC played better football and won the match. Ojing Pada of the winning team was declared as player of the match.
