Solung Football: NFC, SUFC, Siang (V) record wins

ITANAGAR, Aug 11: Narmi FC edged past Gidum FC 2-1 in a group-D match of the ongoing Itanagar Solung Football Tournament played at the AAPBn ground, Chimpu near here on Saturday.

Tagam Taloh scored for Gidum FC in 17th minute to put his team 1-0 up. At the end of first half, Gidum FC was leading 1-0.

However, in the second half, Narmi FC’s Olik Gammi, while displaying excellent skill, scored first goal in 47th minute to make the score line 1-1. Obuk Pado netted second goal for Narmi FC in 55th minute to beat Gidum FC. Obuk Pado was adjudged as player of the match.

In another match, Siang Veteran FC defeated Committee Veteran FC 3-0 in the veteran category. Goals by Anong Apang, Olom Darung and Tapang Kopak helped Siang Veteran FC register their first win.

Siang Veteran FC took control of the match right at the start, but first goal came from Anong in 36th minute. After 12 minutes Olom netted the second and the winners increased their lead in 60th minute when Tapang scored the third goal. Enong Nangkar was declared as player of the match.

Earlier in the morning, keeping their winning streak, Solung United FC thumped RGU FC 6-0 in a group-D match. Hat-trick from Kaling Tatin helped Solung United FC outplay the opponents. Kaling Tatin was adjudged as player of the match.
