BPM held at Bumla, aimed at maintaining peace along LAC

TAWANG, Oct 1: A Border Personnel Meeting (BPM) on the occasion of Chinese National Day was organized by Chinese side at Bumla in Arunachal Pradesh today. The Indian delegation was led by Brig Zubin Bhatnagar, Commander of Tawang Brigade, while Sr Col Yao Shi Chen of Tsona Dzong Garrison headed the Chinese side.

The unfurling of national flags of India and China marked the BPM. This was followed by formal address by both the delegation leaders. The Chinese side presented a colourful cultural programme on the occasion.

The entire proceedings reflected increasing mutual desire of maintaining and improving relations at the border in consonance with the craving of both national leaders.

Both delegations interacted with each other in a congenial and cordial environment. The delegations parted amidst feeling of friendship and commitment towards enhancing the existing cordial relations and maintaining peace along the Line of Actual Control, LAC. (DIPRO)
