APSLSA conducts sensitization program for Law students

Itanagar, Oct 6: The Arunachal Pradesh State Legal Services Authority (APSLSA) organized a one-day sensitization programme on ‘Working of Legal Services Authority & Role of Law Students as Para Legal Volunteers’ for the students of Arunachal Law Academy (ALA), Lekhi (Naharlagun) at Banquet Hall here today.

The programme was attended among others by APSLSA Member Secretary Budi Habung, advocate & human rights activist Sunil Mow, APSLSA’s legal aid counsel Jumgam Jini and Yapi Kiri, assistant professor, ALA.

In the inaugural session, Habung spoke on the principle of criminal law & trial, remand, bail, arguments and examination of witness. He also delivered a talk on principle of civil law & trial; remedies and injunctions while Sunil Mow highlighted about drafting, pleading, and petition under Articles 32 & 226 of the Indian Constitution. Jumgam Jini delivered a talk on conveyance in general; its object, forms of deeds & promissory and notices.
