Saaya ‘decides’ to oversee the status of dev projects to ensure timely execution

YACHULI, Oct 7: Concerned at fund misuse, which he said contributes towards slowing down of progress in the area, local MLA Likha Saaya asserted that from now onwards he would oversee the status of ongoing projects to ensure effective utilization of funds and timely execution of developmental projects.

Saaya on Saturday provided Rs 35 lakh from his MLALAD fund for development of Kugi Tago Panchayat Segment under Pistana circle of Yachuli Assembly constituency.

Accompanied among others by EEs, PWD and RWD, AE, PHED, ex-ZPMs, ASMs and public leaders etc of Lower Subansiri, the MLA was speaking at a programme aimed at reaching the unreached and to address the public’s grievances at their own place.

Since last two months, Saaya has been extensively touring to several remote villages, located in nook and corner of his constituency.

Responding to the demands on adequate supply of safe drinking water and power, upgradation of link roads from Bikh to Toti, the MLA announced to solve the electrification and drinking water issues within this month and directed the accompanying engineers to initiate action on to address these problems on priority basis.

On the demands for creation of the Anganwadi centre, upgrading of govt middle school to secondary level, he said signatures of all people of the area will be needed to create a proposal that has to be submitted to the concerned authority for the creation of Anganwadi centre.

On the upgradation related issue, he said he will take up the matter with the Education department and Minister on top priority. He also assured to look into the demand of widening, plastering of the link road from Bikh to Toti under SADA.

BJYM Lower Subansiri unit president Toko Bath appealed the people to take advantage of various pro-poor schemes launched by the Central and State governments.
