KV girls embark on ‘Seema Darshan’ program

TAWANG, Oct 16: A group of 50 girls from Kendriya Vidyalayas of North Eastern States are on a five day visit to Kameng and Tawang sectors, as part of ‘Seema Darshan’ programme conducted by KV Sangathan (KVS).

A rare initiative by KVS, it will familiarize the budding youth of the North Eastern region with harsh service conditions and rugged terrain faced by the Indian Army while defending the Northern frontiers in the sector.

The highlights of the programme will be visit to the famous Bumla Pass on LAC, Shungaster Lake, Sub Joginder and Tawang Memorials besides the site seeing at Tawang, Jang and along the route to Guwahati. The five-day programme will culminate at Tenga with a visit to the Tenga War Museum. (DIPRO)
