3 Arunachal girls signed by FC Kolhapur City for the ongoing Indian Women’s League

ITANAGAR, Oct 22: Arunachal Pradesh girls continue to make inroads in sports arena as Nabam Kamyi, Roshni Ramching and Tamchi Yapi of Capital Complex FC have been signed by Pune based FC Kolhapur City for the ongoing Indian Women’s League qualifiers.

In the process, they have become the first batch of women players from Arunachal to be signed up by any major professional club outside the State. FC Kolhapur City played 1-1 draw against Kenkre FC in its opening match of the qualifier. Nabam Kamyi started her campaign with an assist for her team.

“Our girls have been doing fantastically well for us and such results show that women football has gone many steps ahead from where it was few years back,” said Kipa Ajay from Arunachal Pradesh Football Association while congratulating the girls on their feats.

Kipa Takum and Kipa Bharat, chairman and head coach of Capital Complex FC respectively, also conveyed their best wishes to the girls for the ongoing championship.

“These exposures will help our girls to improve their game and prepare them to compete against the best in the country. Big milestone for CCFC and for the entire football fraternity of the state as a whole, and we are very proud of them,” said Takum in his message.

FC Kolhapur City will play its next match against Football Leader Academy on Wednesday next.
