APTOA mourns foreign national’s death
ITANAGAR, Mar 20: The Arunachal Pradesh Tour Operator Association (APTOA) has expressed its deepest condolence over the death of one Bulgarian tourist reportedly at Sela Pass yesterday.
The Association prayed for eternal peace of the departed soul.
Indian Army yesterday rescued 127 tourists who were stuck in a snow blizzard at Sela Pass near Tawang in an operation that continued till late night. Those rescued include five foreign nationals from Japan, New Zealand and Bulgaria.
In the midst of the rescue operation, the Bulgarian national died as she fell down a steep gorge.
Meanwhile, APTOA had lauded the Indian Army for taking prompt action in rescuing the tourists and accommodated them at army transit camps.
