ZIRO, Jul 17: The 2nd phase of ACF (Active Case Finding) for TB in prioritized areas being conducted by District Health Society (DHS) under the Revised National Tuberculosis Control Program (RNTCP) began at VKV, Ziro today with DTO Dr Tage Nibo launching it.

During the day long screening for TB symptomatics, a total of 446 students and teachers were screened and 35 symptomatics were subjected to sputum examination.

In the programme that will end on July 31 next, the DHS (RNTCP) will conduct symptomatic TB screening in all boarding schools in Ziro Valley and a couple of villages under the jurisdiction of Gyati Takka General Hospital and CHC, Old Ziro. (DIPRO)
